Do something. Be authentic. People believe you if you’re honest enough to talk about your story. You have the power to change the way people think–in a good way, or a bad way. If you’re going to do something, do it with intent.
These are just a few things Lonnie shared with the attendees of the Hashimoto Seminar on March 3rd. He encouraged students to surround themselves with people that are 10x more talented than themselves, but to remember that there is nobody else in the world like them; that each individual is unique and beautiful in their own way. We only get a few small chances to make a real difference in the world and it’s up to us to not let those chances pass us by.
Lonnie inspired us to:
- Ask questions.
- Take chances.
- Make mistakes.
- Be our own leader.
- Search for the work we want to work on.
- Do not be afraid to ask for money.
- Turn bad ideas into good ones.
